You’ll be able to buy leggings designed by Queen Bey this Spring.
The news that Beyoncé and Topshop are working on a clothing collaboration first broke in 2014. Now (over a year later) the launch has an official arrival date of April 2016.
The designs will focus on athleticwear that is functional but also fashionable—think comfortable leggings and printed sweats you can wear to yoga class or out to brunch on the weekends (a.k.a. athleisure). The line will include dance and fitness-inspired clothing as well as accessories and footwear. Keep your fingers crossed for hoodies printed with some of Queen Bey’s best one-liners like “flawless.”
Unlike many other celebrity partnerships, the Beyoncé and Topshop line is a 50-50 business endeavor. The collection will be released under a new company, called Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., with a completely separate team from the London-based fashion brand. Once the designs launch in April, you’ll be able to buy the collection in Topshop stores, online at Topshop.com, and with a select few retailers. However, chances are high that every item will be sold out by May. Who doesn’t want comfy harem pants designed by Beyoncé?
