We’ve seen our fair share of sunscreen formulas, but never anything like the brand new Bare Republic Neon Sunscreen Sticks. True to the name, they are in fact neon — electric orange, blue, green, yellow, pink, and purple, to be exact —
all pigmented shades that seriously show up with just one swipe.
Upping the fun factor, each color also corresponds with a (natural) fruity scent, think mango, banana, and blueberry. The sun protection is no joke either: Broad-spectrum SPF 50 mineral protection (thanks to 25 percent zinc oxide) that’s water-resistant for up to 80 minutes. Pomegranate seed oil, raspberry seed extract, and vitamin E in the formula deliver not only added antioxidant benefits, but also make for a creamy base that glides on smoothly, without tugging.
Keep in mind that for full-on sun protection you need to use an even coat of SPF across your entire face; if you want to rock a full-on colored complexion, knock yourself out, but otherwise, consider these a fun touch-up to use over a base of your everyday sunscreen. (Also worth noting: While the color can come off on clothing, it will wash out, so don’t stress about stains.) We can already picture ourselves painting these bright-hued sticks over our faces this summer.
